Q&A with Dr. Katsigeorgis
What experience do you have working with families?
I have over a decade of experience working as a school psychologist, in charge of special education and evaluations, and three years of experience providing evaluation and therapeutic services in private practice as a licensed psychologist.
What inspired you to become a therapist?
I wanted to help parents understand their children better and to help my clients experience academic and social-emotional success in their schooling and beyond.
What are your strengths?
My therapy sessions are engaging and tailored to each age group. I am warm, compassionate, non-judgemental, and energetic.
What else would you like families to know about you?
As both a psychologist and a parent, I bring empathy, advocacy, and real-world understanding to my work with children and families. I am deeply familiar with educational systems and special education processes, and I strive to support parents in navigating school-based services, IEPs, and accommodations. My approach is grounded in evidence-based practices, cultural humility, and a belief in neurodiversity, resilience, and collaboration.
