Top FAQs
We provide specialized therapy and psychiatry that involves parents and caregivers in their child’s journey. Everything you need is in one place — as your family’s needs change, your care plan will evolve with you.
All Brightline therapists use evidence-based therapies including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), Parent Management Training (PMT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and others. These science-backed treatments help kids explore the relationships between their thoughts, emotions, and actions. They also teach kids skills that help them cope in healthy ways. And all Brightline psychiatrists are board certified and qualified to offer necessary treatments based on evidence-based practices.
Ask us! During your onboarding, we will do an in-depth diagnostic evaluation. We will gather details about your child’s developmental history, as well as any patterns or changes you’ve noticed. Together, we will decide whether it's the right time for therapy.
You talk with us and learn, that’s how! We do all of the research, interviewing, background checking, and vetting — so you don’t have to. Our hiring process helps us build a team of caring, individual therapists that are licensed, experienced, and qualified.
We are happy to be able to support our families both virtually and in-person in 2025. While we build out our in-person locations, we will deliver virtual care to families who live in New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, Massachusetts, and Washington State. We are working towards opening our first location in April, with two more to follow in the fall.
It depends. Out-of-pocket costs vary depending on the treatment or service. An initial therapy session typically costs $350, and ongoing sessions are $200–$275 each. On average, psychiatry sessions range from $225–$350 each. And psychological testing can fall between $2,000–$5,000 depending on whether testing is held for a singular concern, complex or multiple concerns, school readiness, or complex learning evaluations.
For many of our families, Brightline is covered by their employer or insurance — with no referrals needed. We accept insurance from Cigna, Aetna, Blue Cross Blue Shield of Massachusetts, Premera, and many more. Brightline Support can help verify whether Brightline is covered by your insurance.
If Brightline isn't covered by your insurance, your family can still access all that Brightline has to offer. Call Brightline Support for information on how to submit to your insurance or if you can use your HSA or FSA benefit.
Brightline Support is available Monday–Friday from 8am–12am EST by calling (888) 224-7332.
