About Brittany Armstrong, LCSW
Brittany Armstrong is a licensed clinical social worker and clinical manager at Brightline’s Columbus Circle clinic. With over 10 years of clinical experience, Brittany’s background includes work in crisis stabilization, acute care management, private practice, non-profit organizations, and school systems.
Brittany specializes in complex presentations such as ADHD, impulse-control disorders, non-suicidal self-injury (NSSI), and acute risk presentations involving suicidal ideation and behaviors. She is also adept at managing a broad range of concerns, including obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD), depression, and bipolar disorder.
Brittany is a passionate and knowledgeable neurodivergent-affirming provider, committed to individualized, strengths-based care that respects diverse cognitive and behavioral profiles. Her therapeutic approach is integrative, primarily anchored in evidence-based modalities such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT) skills training, and parent management training (PMT). What is a therapist?
Our therapists have earned their master's degree in social work, psychology, marriage and family therapy, or counseling. They are independently licensed. They are qualified to do therapy and diagnostic evaluations (when they have their diagnostic privilege credential for some license types). Therapists do not prescribe medication, but they are able to directly refer families who need that service to a Brightline psychiatrist or psychiatric nurse practitioner.
