Q&A with Sarah Wallin
What experience do you have working with families?
I began my career supporting children and families in the foster care system where I gained a deep appreciation for the healing power of safe and caring relationships. Today in my practice at Brightline, I continue to work with children and their families as they navigate life’s challenges, whether it be adjusting to school changes, coping with bullying, managing big emotions, behavioral problems, or moving through family transitions.
What inspired you to become a psychiatric provider?
I was inspired to become a therapist because I believe children’s voices and struggles are too often unheard, especially in today’s rapidly changing world. It’s an honor to support them in feeling understood and safe as they navigate life’s challenges, helping them build resilience and confidence in who they are.
What are your strengths?
As a therapist, I bring a sense of creativity, authenticity, and playfulness to my work, helping children feel comfortable and connected. I believe that meeting kids where they are with genuine care and joy creates a space where true healing and growth can happen.
What else would you like families to know about you?
I love to listen to music, draw, watch movies, and cook! My favorite activity is getting cozy on the couch and watching movies all night with my husband and cat.
